‍Introduction

In anticipation of Thrive’s official Points Program, I want to honor and close the book on Preseason Points, the experimental program we ran earlier this year to test how value could be measured inside the Thrive ecosystem.

Thousands of people participated. Some built, some validated, some explored, and yes, some found clever ways to farm (it’s crypto, after all).

That early chaos was a gift. It gave us the data, the insight, and the conviction to build something stronger: a Points Program that truly reflects our mission to reward everyone who creates real value in the ecosystem.

In this update, I’ll share what we learned, how we’re honoring early contributors, and offer a first look at what’s next: Season 1: Proving Value.

What We Learned

Thrive has always done things differently. Where others value hype, we value value.

We created the Proof of Value (PoV) protocol, a system that validates, through thousands of Guardians, when real value has been created.

PoV has already been used to verify contributions for ecosystems like Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, Sui, and Hedera, and over 1,800 Builders and teams across Thrive’s network.

Our first attempt at points rewarded a mix of contributions: some deeply valuable (Guardians validating, Builders building, Creators amplifying) and others that were less valuable and too easily gamed.

When we saw that happening, we made the hard call to stop. Because points-for-points sake might be most of crypto. But it is not Thrive.

It does not reflect Proof of Value.

We paused to understand what worked, what didn’t, and how we could do better. During that time, we appeared on the Kaito Pre-TGE Leaderboard, and many Creators began talking about Thrive. Naturally, they asked different versions of:

“How can I be rewarded for my contributions to the Thrive ecosystem and vision?”

My honest answer was: I don’t know yet. But we’ll get it right and make sure it’s fair.

That is the Thrive way. We have been building for more than four years, and we have grown because we optimize for integrity over immediacy.

If you were frustrated by the pause, I understand and appreciate you. The reason was simple: we wanted to make sure that when we reward, we reward right.

Now we can.

How We're Honoring Early Points Holders

Everyone who participated in the Preseason, and anyone who has contributed to Thrive in the past four years will be recognized - including thousands of builders and contributors totaling over 105,000 wallets that have historically contributed to Thrive.

The Preseason leaderboard will be memorialized exactly as it stood, a permanent record of Thrive’s earliest participants, with the new Season 1 Leaderboard starting at zero for everyone.

Based on your final Preseason rank, you’ll receive a permanent multiplier on all future points earned in Season 1. The multiplier will be applied at the end of Season 1 of Thrive’s Points Program.

* final multiplier amounts to be determined at the end of Season, and Thrive reserves the right to address bad actor behavior as necessary.

Preseason Points holders will also gain exclusive early access to future initiatives, collaborations, and opportunities within the Thrive network, with an emphasis on rewarding those who made an outsized impact in our Preseason. 

Finally, those who participated and ranked on our Kaito Pre-TGE Leaderboard will also receive additional multipliers and exclusive opportunities for Season 1. Specific details on Kaito and Points will be expanded on in a future post.

In short: Thrive’s early contributors will all be honored. Your rewards will be amplified by your continued commitment to creating value in Season 1: Proving Value and beyond.

A Sneak Peek on Season 1: Proving Value

Thrive was built to reward creation of value, the kind that moves ecosystems forward.

Season 1: Proving Value will launch in Q4 with an official start date to be announced in a future post. 

In this new phase, every point earned will stand for a measurable contribution to Thrive and our partner networks.

Examples include:

• A Builder whose Project achieved milestones and proved traction.
• A Guardian who validated power signals and strengthened ecosystem integrity.
• A Creator who built belief around what is truly valuable in crypto.

Season 1 aims to be the most inclusive, fair, and value-aligned points framework in crypto. It should show the best of Thrive and our community: our ability to build value, prove value, and scale it across our ecosystem and the ones we support.
